Educational Programs

D.A.R.E. is a ten week anti-drug and violence education program for elementary age students in the Oklahoma City metro area schools.  The new D. A R. E. program promises to help teachers and administrators cope with ever-evolving federal prevention program requirements and the thorny issues of school violence, budget cuts, and terrorism.  The program is now fully implemented in six school districts.

G.R.A.V.E. (Gun Resistance and Violence Education) is a two day curriculum presented by a police officer and a medical professional to seventh grade students in the Oklahoma City Public School District as well as other school districts upon request.  G.R.A.V.E. explores the physical and legal consequences of gun violence.  This program has been taught in Oklahoma City since 1997 and has been well received by students, parents, and educators.

i-Safe is a prevention oriented internet safety awareness program.  The program provides students with critical thinking and decision making skills needed to recognize and avoid dangerous, destructive, or unlawful online behavior.  The program is taught by PAL officers in cooperation with teachers in a ninety-minute assembly format.  The program includes age specific materials for grades K through 8th and web-casts for high school students.  The i-Safe program is like no other educational program taught on our public school systems.
