• Download the OKCPAL App. This will give you immediate access to PAL schedules and standings.
• TEXT PALCOACHES to 844.576.8325. This allows OKCPAL staff to send out immediate updates regarding game cancellations or other important updates. 
• PAL sports seasons run 7/8 weeks long - 5/6wks of regular season play and 2 weeks of playoffs. Please sign up if your availability allows for you to be a consistent, positive adult role-model to our student-athletes. 
• ANY ASSISTANT COACH MUST ALSO COMPLETE OKCPS BACKGROUND CHECK. No person is allowed to interact with young people, including at practices and on sidelines at games, unless approved by OKCPAL. 

- With the exception of current OKCPS teachers/staff and current OCPD staff, all coaches and team volunteers are required to submit a criminal background check (FREE) to OKCPAL. 

- OKCPAL staff will facilitate initial contact between new volunteers and our school teams.

- Coaches will not be asked to incur any personal expense aside from travel costs to and from practices and games.

Coaching duties include:

• Maintain contact with PAL Officer throughout the season
• Maintain contact with your school throughout the season 
• Adhere to all player eligibility rules and regulations set by your school administration
• Be an ambassador for PAL and our initiative to incorporate the OKCPAL character curriculum into all of our teams
• Recruit assistant coaches as needed
• With assistance from school administration/primary point of contact, set practice location and schedule team practices
• Effectively communicate all team information to players, parents, and school administration
• Attend all practices and games unless covered by an approved assistant or school representative
• Have fun!
